I was able to be hosted for two night with CS friend Eugenio and his family. He was a really great host and really made me see how life is nfor people living in Patagonia.
During the day I mad emy first nature experience. I walked for some hours enlong the earth cliffs on the coast. It was extremely windy, very try and a lot of sand and dust in the air (the weather comes from west, so the Patagonia dessert says "helloooo") Suddenly a army base appears, and I almost did not dare to continue. It was acutally a national park, to protect a colonie of see lions. I was watching them from the rock about 50 meters above them. There where about a hundert and when the tide got in the went one after the other into the see to start fishing. So cute! Sounded like a sheep herd...
On my why back teh ranger caught me and gave me a leasson. He would kill me, if he read the blog, as this animals are acutally not see lions, but I just dont know any better know :( However, this colonie is very special, as those of particular kind of ears, which are only on one other colonie a bit further in the south. From the 50 meter distance, I could not make any difference...
Eugenio brought me then to his veg, the animal doctor. No, I am fine, thanks, one of his dogs had a cut in his tail and it had partly to be amputated. This we when for a check, all it seems to be fine know. The Veg invited me to work with him, after he understood I was robed, and we could go "flyfishing", invited me to make a carrellia (huge BBQ) for me, but I did not acceppt. HE was again extremly nice, and I if I would have known that I would get stock for 4 days anyway, it would have been much better for my spanish anyway. Plus: I really love the dogs here, everybody seem sto have one!
